only ppl with style, fashion , and taste go with tthe mini (models, celebrities go with apple)

knowledgable and tech ppl hoo actually care about the music quality and stuff usually go with the micro: custom eq, cuz the presets aren't the best

;)i stopped supporting the both after i found out i had 10gb of music on my computer, im going for the iriver h-10 20gb version

Hello the Nomad Series was launched Before apple even came out with the IMac so stop the Ipod wannabe remarks and check you history for gods sake. and about the interfaces i don't know if you noticed but there standardize now so they all basiclly have the same menu system except a few "features" you may or may not like

I can't stand the sound quality of the iPod and found that the EQ settings would just distort the sound. Creative and iRiver have much better sound quality, even if they have a way to catch up in style (though the Zen Micro looks great).

well i have a ipod photo, if the ipoh mini is anything like that then i reccomend get the mini, i love my ipod photo better design then that zen it reminds me when i make html tables with a border and adding no style or width to it, just doesn't look right, i cant say i have used the zen but apples clickweel rocks, it might not be able to read wma files but can read audiobooks which the zen cant and im unsure about the zen on this point but when i put my ipod into my dock which is attached to my iMac it updates automatically and i dont think the zen updates unless its told to, I have a iAudio 20gb player which does have more features than my iPod but i find i use my iPod more then it, also do u see any creative store around? apple are bringing out new stores alot so if a problem did arise you wouldn't have to send it abroad to get fixed, just pop down to the local apple store and get them to look at it.

thanks

Graham Barnes

I was actually fairly against getting the ipod mini and went to best buy to buy the zen micro. They had them all set up and I tried each out for about half hour each. I must say I did a complete 180, I loved the mini, hated the zen. The zen felt really cheaply made, the menu wasn't very impressive, and I LOATHED the scrolling of it. Eventually I would have gotten used to the scrolling, but I couldn't ever get over how flimsy it felt. I baby everything, but I'm pretty sure I would hav roken it on one of my trips (I climb up and down some pretty dangerous places at times).

I still don't really like itunes, but the ipod mini itself I love.

    • Why? Does anybody actually want this? The constant need to close all browser sessions and wait for a new version to install, just so that there’s a integrated coupon manager feels like a waste of everyone’s time
    • I remember when Louis used to just do interesting Mac/iPhone repairs, now he's boring and just launches "crusades" every week
    • A shame it don't allow people to bypass the MS account, I will stick to using Rufus.
    • Microsoft about to radically change how often your Edge browser updates by Paul Hill Microsoft has just announced that starting with Edge 152, it will be moving to a two-week release cycle for faster, smaller updates. This faster release cadence will begin on August 27. This change comes just several months after Microsoft switched Visual Studio Code to weekly updates. The company said that the Extended Stable releases will remain on an eight-week cycle and that no admin changes are needed to experience the faster release cycle on the Stable channel. The new two-week release cycle will enable the faster delivery of security updates and platform improvements, all while reducing the size and complexity of individual updates. Microsoft claims that organizations will benefit from this change as it offers predictable validation cycles. For organizations that prefer a “more deliberate pace”, the Extended Stable channel remains an option. This change will affect Edge Stable releases on Windows, macOS, Linux, and mobile. The Extended Stable channel will continue to be updated every eight weeks, or every fourth Stable release, for example: versions 152, 156, 160, and 164. The Extended Stable could be a good option for organizations that don’t want the latest updates twice a month and don’t want as much hassle constantly updating browsers. In the case of Visual Studio Code, many of the updates being pushed by Microsoft are AI-related. As we all know, Microsoft Edge has a lot of AI features, so we could see Microsoft pushing more AI, thanks to the faster cycles. On the flip side, quicker releases could mean faster security updates, which is beneficial in a world where AI systems are hunting for software exploits. What do you think? Let us know in the comments. For more updates on Edge, be sure to follow Neowin's coverage. In May alone, we reported on Edge offering in-browser pop-ups to assist users with website compatibility issues, that Edge was losing Copilot Mode, and that Microsoft had fixed a plain-text password bug in Edge. • not yet, because at the moment it is not a threat to MS, if and I mean if it did become a threat to MS Office, then it may be a different thing. MS don't like competition
