Macs doesn't have PS2 port, just USB for your keyboard and mice. You don't need Airport or Bluetooth either. Airport is an Apple branded router/Wireless AP.

well in that case, it wont work unless you buy another ps2 to usb adapter. i have a mx duo and only the keyboard has usb

I have that set for my PC and its nice. It is both ps2 (which apple dropped a long time ago) and usb. But rather than going for this wireless option which requires you to have a usb base station attached to your computer I would suggest getting bluetooth for your mac and the wireless keyboard/mouse that you can order with your mac (which are bluetooth and dont require a dongle)

no if you plug in just the usb plug the mouse will still work it is not just for the keyboard. Also the Apple key is the Alt key

No. Alt becomes Option. The Windows key becomes Command(the Apple key).

I'd say get the normal white Apple keyboard (they are great for all Macs)and get you own mouse. If you are a new Mac user I would recommend it even more cause you won't get confused with the keys (like ALT on the Mac is the "windows Key" on PC Keyboards). ;)

because apple keyboard require bluetooth and the mouse only has one button AND no scroll wheel...........oh and no extra features (extra buttons etc)

If you have multiple systems on your desk and they all have monitors and you don't want to have multiple keyboards 'n meeces, you should take a look at KMremoteControl from www.derman.com.

Simply put, KMremoteControl is a software keyboard/mouse switcher (i.e., KVM without the "M" part). I've been using KMremoteControl for quite some time (in a different setup) and it works really well. Hope this helps.
