I take it Rimbaldi artifacts are no longer

going to be one of the driving plots of the show? Seems like the show has taken a complete 180 in it's fourth season. It doesn't even have cliffhanger ends anymore which gave the season a more "24" feel.

Not that it's a bad direction. Shows seem a little more grounded now but I'm kinda wondering where the hell the writer was going with the first three years of the show. Does anyone know if the Rimbaldi plot will be dropped completely?

I doubt they will drop the whole Rambaldi thing.

As for the direction of this season, i read somewhere that they wanted to 'get back to basics' And not every episode in the past seasons had cliffhangers. We'll just have to wait and see.

Can someone edit the title, this is kind of a spoiler, we havent got the new series of Alias as yet in the UK.

I'm avoiding the 24 thread for this reason only

Well do you think clicking on the thread helped things :) I don't think I gave anything anyway in the title. It could have been anything. Sorry if I spoiled anything but the ability to edit. A mod will have to do that for me (sorry to keep you guys busy...I didn't realize I wasn't in the Media Section ;) )

no the Rambaldi thing has always been sorta an ever so often thing....it will show up...

Not really. In the first season yeah but the third season definitely dealt with it a lot. So far, there was just a quick mention of it from Sloan in the first episode.

I doubt they will drop the whole Rambaldi thing.

looks that way...just doesn't have the "must see" feel to it anymore though. And what was the whole point of doing a whole "black ops" thing if by the second episode everyone was going to transfer over? There are not doing anything different than what they did in the past three seasons.

Anyway, I still enjoy the show. Not as much as I used too though but still one of the better shows on TV.

So far I have been REALLY dissapoint in this season. I find myself looking forward to LOST much more...

I have been a faithful fan since episode 1 as have countless others.. Now it seems they left us all hanging out to dry. Things that are left up in the air and/or annoying...

1) Sloan being the head of a new CIA division. WTF? Maybe after Saddam Hussein is tried, we can make him the head of US Homeland Security.

2) Sloans daughter and he being so close. Again, WTF? I am sorry I had to torture you last season, lets be friends now, ok?

3) Rimbaldi? Who? What did Sloan see at the end of Season 2 that changed his life?

4) Sloan and Dixon working together again? WTF? Hey thanks for killing my wife, lets work together now!

5) Dixons kids are where exactly?

6) Is Will still in witness relocation? Why exactly?

7) What happend to The Covenant?

8) The new theme song/remix stinks. I understand sex sells, but do we need a photo parade of Sydney duringthe credits? What about the other actors/actresses on the show?

More? Gimme time. Anybody else?

3) Rimbaldi?  Who?  What did Sloan see at the end of Season 2 that changed his life?

Well... I think the word he saw in the machine was "peace". Sloan said that at som point in season 3.

And it's Rambaldi.

SPOILER (select with your mouse to see)

Episode 4.08: Echoes

Anna Espinosa steps back into Sydney's life with a bang as the Rambaldi riddle creeps back into view.

Don't expect Will to come back. I'm pretty sure he was taken out of the show permantly (cept for that cameo last year).

And yeah, Lost has more of my attention now BUT I fear that if the show isn't succesful enough that they will tinker with the plot as well and leave unanswered questions. It's like they are writing the scripts on the fly instead of having a whole story fleshed out.

    • My comment was intended to be humorous. I believe scientists already knew it since they comprehend relatively. Maybe I'm assuming that.
    • Surprise Execs are dumb. I hope the rehired engineers said were not coming back until we get 2x our salary.
    • Ford execs say they made a mistake when they replaced human engineers with AI by David Uzondu Ford recently announced that over the last three years, it's had to rehire about 350 "gray beard" engineers to mentor younger staff and reprogram diagnostic systems and AI tools that were failing to meet up to quality expectations. The company's VP of vehicle hardware engineering, Charles **** said that leaders overlooked the deep experience of veterans who survived many product cycles. **** admitted that simply replacing them with AI was a huge mistake, and that while AI is "a fantastic tool," it remains "only as good as the information you use to train it." The rehired engineers now run mandatory meetings to troubleshoot vehicles and reprogram automated engineering software and AI tools to prevent glitches before production. These technical specialists hunt for failure points before parts ever reach the plant floor, helping prevent the massive recalls and defects that previously cost the company billions as it aims to cut one billion dollars in expenses this year. In last year's JD Power Quality Survey, an annual study that measures the quality of a car during the first three months of ownership, Ford finished 10th among mainstream brands and scored below the industry average. But this year, JD Power ranked the automaker as the top mainstream brand, placing it above the likes of Toyota Motor Corp. and Honda Motor Co. Ford attributed this massive improvement directly to the expertise of these returned engineers. Ford's realization that AI cannot magically design and test quality vehicles without senior human oversight is just the tip of the iceberg. When Careerminds looked at companies that conducted AI-driven layoffs, researchers found out that 35.6% of those companies had to rehire more than half of the employees they previously fired. Another 32.7% had to rehire between 25% and 50% of them. In 2024, Sebastian Siemiatkowski, CEO of Klarna, proudly announced that its new chatbot was doing the work of 700 full-time customer service agents. As a result, the fintech company froze hiring and cut hundreds of positions. But by mid 2025, and into 2026, Klarna was scrambling to recruit human agents again because customer satisfaction had plummeted. It turns out, while AI is very good at answering basic questions like how to check an account balance, when faced with complex customer issues that require nuance, the thing usually resorts to the unhelpful, robotic corporate jargon we all know and love.
