pdog
whenever i try to access my linux samba shares from windows, it always asks me for my password, i didnt set a password. i even tried all of the passwords on the linux box itself and none worked!!! I've tested it on windows 95 and windows xp. The linux box can browse a windows share fine, the windows can't read the linux share even though it can see it. BTW i'm using the latest version of SimplyMepis. mepis.org HELP WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!! beh
look at smb.conf it should be in there to allow guest access EDIT: and to answer your second question you put the other share in smb.conf aswell.
