Cheapest 1GB DIMM for mini?

Recommended Posts

I'd recommend Crucial RAM, they designed theirs specifically for the Mac mini at ?142. This is the safest RAM to get, and most neowinians who are upgrading 3rd party are doing it this way. Have a look on crucials website for the price.

Aye, plus if you are in the UK use ComputerActive at the checkout screen to get an extra 4% off.

People from the Apple discussion forums are reporting success with the PC2700 DIMM by PDP Systems that Newegg sells for $160, that's what I'm doing

For those in the UK Crucial is the way to go.

Lets not forget that as well as the 4% discount you can also sell the 256 DIMM. Even if you only get ?10-15 for it, that is still money offf the upgrade.

Linky dink? Im running through that website now, and while they are very helpful to americans about Mac Mini memory, they dont appear to have the option there for the UK side.

Help?

OK - I'm guessing this one:

http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/PartSpecs....864Z335&cat=RAM

Can anyone verify?

so why cant people just buy 2 sticks of 512 for almost 1/2 as cheap?

Because, you ding a ling, the Mac Mini only has one RAM slot:rolleyes::

Works great, and only ~$160 shipped

btw... 1 gb of ram is NIGHT AND DAY difference.

Definitely worth the upgrade...

Night and day : from 256mb to 1GB ?? Because i've order my mini with 512mb thinking that it would be enough.....

:o

512 running fine here, a couple of skips when doing several things and watching a DVD, but nothing that affects performance too much.

I'll definately be upgrading at some point in the future, but 512 is fine for now.
