From Outlook, create a new Public Folder of type Calendar.

so would i run the outlook client (i have outlook 2000) on the server to get it started, and from there users would have access through outlook web acess at their workstations.?

sorry, i'm a novice at this?

Don't put Outlook on the server run it from a workstation instead. You are correct, just go into Public Folders and create a new folder, you will be given a choice of what type of folder to create.

Microsoft does not recommend installing Exchange Server and Outlook on the same computer

You should have received Outlook 2003 with your SBS 2003 machine, I recommend upgrading to it from Outlook 2000.

Set up an account in Exchange for "Calander"

On each client, open outlook

Tools

Email accounts

Next

Change

More Settings

Add Calander to the mail boxes

You will now have a second account in Outlook

Calander is there

You can set permissions for each user (read, edit,.....)

We you this system for booking out meeting rooms. Primative, but it was set up before me. I'm changing it though.

But anyway it works.
