[vb.net] Speed Question

I have a question but I'm almost positive I know the answer.

I have a ton of procedures in a row. Now, when a user clicks a button, the procedures are initiated and executed. Before they do though, the the procedure that was called from the button, it checks to see if a setting is checked. If so, it continues. If not, it does the next procedure in the button call.

Now, I think that is very slow. Wouldn't it be much faster to check if the setting is checked BEFORE to procedure is executed?

Nevermind, I answered my own question.

Before code clean up: Registry Optimization took 4.5 seconds.

After code clean up: Registry Optimization took < .10 seconds.
