Transformers WIP

This is a VS \ WB i have started as my part in a collaboration with the guys over at Skinning.net to be used as part of a total suite dedicated to the popular childrens series ..Tranformers.

Perhaps some Transformer fans could pipe up about overall general design as i am not that familiar with the subject matter myself.

Hey check this part of the Hasbro website out if you want, there's a bunch of transformer's videos with transformation action! ;)

I don't know if this could be done, but I would suggest putting a little animation where the start logo is... Make it transform on mouse-over, or when you open the start menu itself... Just a suggestion... :p

i dont think it looks too great because its way too bubbly for a mechanical themed visual style.

Decepticon sub-style please..... :D and maybe with some sharp edges, as the original Transformers were all super square.....if you're gonna try throw any animations into it, I'd suggest the start menu's eye's glow, as opposed to the throbbing type style logo, I dunno.....

Looks good thus far Winswy. It is a very creative idea and could be very popular with youngsters and some older members who remember the great battles of their childhood. I know I sure do. (Y) Bang up job.

i dont know if its my color blindness coming into affect....but the taskbar's color scheme doesnt match the startbutton/bar ....could be wrong though

Is this a WB theme? If so it could have some really cool effects with it. Great job so far.....really has the look of transformers. :p :yes:

everyones themes look "somewhat" the same, why u keep harping on that? From a technical standpoint this is unsimilar in everytway to anything ive done thus far.

The skin is looking great John. The wall is also top notch quality. The funny thing on this screenshot is the image open called transwall. I'm hoping it means transformer wall. :p

This might/might not be a good idea, but instead of having the Autobot sign for the Min/Max, Restore and Full window buttons, what about the different stages of transformation? Like the Min is a picture of a car/truck, and the Restore button is a picture of a transforming autobot (truck/car->robot) and the Full button is a pic of a transformer in robot form? Im thinking strictly Optimus, but whoever I think it might be cool. Just my .02$.

Well, as cool as that sounds its really not as easy as it sounds, its a very small area to work with and they wouldnt transform to speak of as much as just blip from one to another, the end effect probably would look as good nor be as functional as the initial suggestion, i am trying hard to incorporate some animation into the VS as much as .msstyle will allow.

Kind of looks like something WB Skinner would make. I notice you go by different names at different places. Are you WB Skinner?
