can i ask..

and im NOT being bigheaded

but,, i get loads of people talking (coz i know too many people around my area/school lol) ... wont, 1) this take **** laods of resources with like 10 convos open and in use at any given time? and.. the way its layed out, wont it be **** annoying having to use that gui for even selecting convo's?

using the gui to select conversations is optional, you can choose to use the windows taskbar... its just for those who wish to save taskbar space. the amounts of conversation windows should effect the resource usage greatly. Hope that answers your questions :)

Here is a little teaser of my skin so far (about 1-2 hours put into it so far)

Still a few bugs and glitches to work out (somethings are off by like .25 pixels, it's hard to fix :cry: ) and im still not sure that his engine can support this.

Any criticism is welcome as it is my first skin. :happy:

Looks real good(Y)) I'd suggest you use a better background (wallpaper) to show off its transparency. As in that screenie, the tabs etc., are hard to read.

Changed the background. I haven't done anything to the font yet, it will all be sorted out if I the skin is even possible.

And I have to fix the little clipping with the tabs and main interface (look closely)

Blax that glass theme is very nice, but unforunately its not possible :(

When making something semi transparent, all of the window will be semi transparent, even the middle part... you can only choose which parts are true transparent, i.e can see directly thru the window.

Yeah, you would have to implement alpha blending (there is a free to use class out there but it's a bitch to implement).

The answer to your question is, this is not a skin... but a client, its a whole new messenger, that uses the same network as MSN :)

:wacko: I was just thinking, if people make their own skins because the program is skinable wouldn't designing the skin for future versions be useless? Because I was thinking like MSN is actually a huge thing when the look is changed but if it's fully skinable people wouldn't care about the original skin and just go download some other skin. :yes:
