YEEEEEEEEEy uns uns uns... ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST.

This is my first really happy post from the last couple of days...

I DID IT... the list bug is in the bag, at least i hope, i ran 4 tests without a bug in the lists sequence, so if it stays this way this is INSANELY good news for nexus... and it means i can sleep at night.

I have been very stressed over this bug, as the hype for nexus, and the support of its fans gets bigger and bigger, my will to not bring disapointement also grows, and this bug was going to be one of the tests in the coding of nexus.

Its also another great post because ive hit 100 posts!!!! not quite caught up with my previous account but hey its an occasion!

Thanks for support guys, and telling me to keep at it.

I also think this means that nexus could be continued using the .net framework too, but I'll have to test this to make sure.

Now you'll have to excuse me, im going to go and plaster my blog in smileys.

THANK YOU.

(happy0r) :D  :D :)

righty hoe... i havnt fixed that LST thing yet, but I have been trying to bring the memory usage down. Nothing i do will make it go under 30MB however... i think this is a .net thing from what people have told me.

However id like a vote... ill keep this numerical so its easy to vote.

1 : Use VB.NET, it has true transparency built into the application, the sockets are a bit dicky... and it uses 30MB of ram, requires the framework.

2 : Use VB6 , possibility of winsocks fixing lists error, some other things too. Dont hold me to this but my estimate is that i can get it down to about 8MB mem usage... but that could all go terribly wrong too. VB 6 requires runtimes, although their not as big as the framework, and according to my investigations i think their included in one of the XP service packs anyway. The downside to VB6 would be that the transparencies arent built in... and im not sure if you draw to boxes the same way... however i think there are classes to do this anyway.

I have been coding in VB6 longer than in VB.net so im more used to it. I'd just like a quick vote to see what you think about it. Thanks a lot.

I have 1 gb of ram :D so it doesnt matter .. however I think VB6 would be better so that every1 can use nexus and not only more advanced pc's... u dont want to be like Microsoft.. selling XP.. or longhorn soon.. which arent too different just use more ram so that ppl have to buy new pc's.. in order for microsoft to get some money from intel etc :p

    • Keep in mind Intuit has lobbied like crazy to keep taxes complicated so they can continue to sell tax software. They also got caught hiding their legally mandated free version so they could release a second one that pushed countless people into charges they didn't need to pay to file. Intuit leads the charge on inventing problems so they can sell you the solution and disrespecting you in the process.
    • Oddly, there was a time that UFC games were culturally relevant, largely because of the graphics and gameplay that was different than the norm. But it seems like as the sport grew in popularity, gaming outlets stopped talking about the games.
