If you really need a laptop like right away, I recommend Dell's Inspiron 8600 not 8600c or 9300, You can also wait for Inspiron XPS 2 to be released this March...that is if Dell wont move the ship date again. :happy:

You have to be careful with these codes because depending on how high you go you will find that the 34% off will eventually give you more savings than $600.00 off the 6000.

I saved over $900.00 with the 34% off, then an additional $200.00 from my education discount.

Yes the "higher education" section is where I went. You may also call up Higher Education Sales Dept.

Signing up for a 3 or 4 year service contract will yield you an additional 12% discount. 1 or 2 years will yield you an additional 6% discount.

I would say the Dell 6000 if you wanted something a little bigger and powerful, if you are going for maximum battery life and light weight I would get the 700M.
