Transparency

I'm trying to edit bmp files to modify msstyle sheets but I end up having problems with transparency. Is there any way to save bmp files with transparency in Photoshop or in any other program... there's pink/purple all over the place!!! Thanx and great job with AquaBlue!!!!!

if you want something to show up transparent, you have to color it 255,0,255...a really really bright pink color. as to whether you can do various layers of transparency, like 50% or not, that remains to be seen, but you can have areas of say the titlebar transparent just by coloring them bright pink.

Thats not the only thing. Some things cannot be transparented with just those steps. You have to extract the textfile you want, its usually NORMAL_INI/1033, then save it as binary in a .ini or a txt file. Then, browse to the certain section, such as

[start::Button]

once here, u need to add

Transparent = True

TransparentColor = 255 0 255

Then, using reshack, replace the resource with your new one.

If you are manually editing the INI files with a Resource hacker...

BE CAREFULL....

some buttons are not supposed to have Transparency....

if you try and assign it to these buttons... you will kill the theme....
