Actually, when Windows came to "play" decades ago, they never left. Play took over the Operating System to the detriment of business of serious consumer users. Made worse, in the Microsoft removed the option to have a "non-play oriented version of the OS" (as in a separate SKU). -

Trying to install my motherboard's onboard sound after reinstalling windows, and I keep getting an error everytime it reaches 100%:
Error loading streamci, the module could not be found
I have to click ok about 20 times (literally) as it keeps popping back up, and then the installation says it's finished and I should reboot. Afterwards though, it says the audio drivers are installed in device manager, but there is no audio hardware listed anywhere (such as windows volume control, winamp etc.....) so I get no sound obviously.
