Firefox flash plugin

Everytime I attempt to download and install the flash plugin within firefox it says "Firefox is now checking for available plugins" but it just sits there.. Is the flash plugin just the one file? If so, could someone post it or tell me where to get it?

you can do it manually tho download the plugin and put it in your firefox folder :)

you run the shell script from the macromedia site. then it's pretty self explanatory, except the installation path is /usr/lib/firefox-whatever.the.version.is

Shockwave doesn't work on Linux, never has.

To install Flash plugin in Ubuntu go to synatic via System ---Administration ----Synaptic . In Synaptic go to settings ---repositories goto add and add the universal "non free" repository . follow the onscreen instructions . The reload the on the main synaptic toolbar.

In the list of apps catagories go to world wide web multiverse and mark the flash plug in to down load ,click on save etc and this will down load the plug in

and install automatically.

Using Synaptic is the easiest way to install apps etc in Ubuntu , try it you will like it
