Your only 17 and u have a viper wut a bunch of bs

I know a 16 year old kid with a Viper, his daddy bought it for him.

Then he got it painted sewer green, attached a massive aluminum wing on the back, and put on huge exhaust with either glasspacks or some horrid combination of cutouts and fartpipes, because it sounds/looks like complete and total butt.

Oh and about the vette looking like this and that... The corvette has had the same basic styling points since the C2 (1960s), the current one still resembles the C4(1984) and the C5 (1997) with some upgrades in style (bodywise).

The scoop on the hood is just that, a scoop. Dodge did not invent the hood scoop, cars had scoops before the Viper came out. And there are only so many ways to attractively place a scoop on a car like that without making it look overbearing, that is a popular way of doing it. The '99 Camaro SS had a similar hoodscoop (the corvette's is just stretched out further). God forbid they allow to put a scoop on their car. Hell if you want to get picky, Dodge stole the side louvers off of the C3 (1968) Corvette (Heck, even the C2 (1963) had side louvers.) Now that I think about it, the scoop is also probably there to clear the engine size, since it's bigger.

The lights are normal placement for HID lighting, most cars that have that type of lighting look like that, especially sports cars.

And looking like that Ferrari, the front end looks similar because of the headlights and headlights only. The frontend of the current vette has looked like (or similar to) that since 1968, with the large fenders overshadowing the lower hood. The new bumper cover is shaped more like an airdam for airflow reasons, which is common technology used today.

Thank you degrassi, you are one of the few enlightened :)

degrassi's comments about prior generation styling cues are dead on.

as far as gas consumption, it's on par with a lot of the common sedans, and still better than any other hi horsepower / torque sports car I know of.

as far as the class of car, i dont know that i can really say it's a muscle car either.

It's not really what I think of when I hear people say Muscle Car. Sports Car, yes.

Mustang, Camaro, Chevelle, Charger, stuff like that.

Coincidentally, theres a guy here at work doing laps and peelin' out in the parking lots around here. All I can here is a loud deep roar as he punches it. Not sure what he's driving though.

  • 1 year later...

and the Viper used to look like a rip off of the Mazda Miata, what your point?

ummmm if you look at a miata and a viper you are clarly going to see some differences. the old viper and the c5 corvette used to be a complete different car. but c6 is an ultimate example of an uninspired piece of ****. it looks like some 1 designed it in their coffe break with vipers style and few tings from a ferrari. COrvette sux balls!!

Just to let you all the Z06 gets better mileage then a lot of cars on the road. Lets take for example for S2000 2.2L the Z06 gets same gas mileage as that on the Highway.

Source Yahoo autos

Z06 7.0L 16/26

S2000 2.2L 20/26

350z 3.5L 19/25 mpg

And Ferrari?s get way worse gas mileage.

Thank You all

It looks cheap and badly made. The little "design" details on it make it look like they just got a 3 year old to draw a car they want and made it. A mess in other words. Will it go around a corner? It reminds me of the past like all american cars. I have never seen one which made me think wow that's "New", I want one

I want one

Aerodynamics ahead of style. A BMW will fall on its face against a Corvette.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
