:ninja: Yes, I spent 3k on a computer for gaming. And all of my friends think it is the best computer we have seen for it. I never stutter in HALO, this is more than I can say for any of the PC's I have seen it on...considering I run in 800x600 w/ all details on and cranked and with 4x antialias. Also, as I am sure has been pointed out before, tech advances because of games...anyone remember Wing Commander? That game singlehandedly brought the age of the 486 to our door. Doom 3 and HL 2 will need awesome hardware to run...and the dual 2GHz is definitely awesome.

NeYo: I would rather spend 3k on a game machine than on an M$ Word box...thats for sure.

SpeedY_B: Yes it is Tenebrae; however, sorry to disappoint you, but we need to get the latest source ported, cause on the Radeon 9600, things are not rendered right at all (in Will Hamme's test map, you cant see anything but the light glares). On the other hand, its like 70fps....about twice what I expect Doom 3 to run at on this box (35-40fps). Anyone care to help with fixing TBQuake?

And, when all is said and done, if it wasn't for computer games, we wouldn't really need computers this powerful...the constant drive for a more realistic experience will constantly drive hardware to become better. Just my 2cents. :ninja:

Had my iBook G3 for one year now. Using the same icon set and wallpaper from the day I got it :p

Only difference now is I have panther and know a lot more about OS X then back then.

This is the best computer I have ever owned, I will never go back to the wintel world.
