Themes aren't just Bitmaps!

Most of these themes are just changed bitmaps. But why don't you guys making these themes chage the sizes of things. Edit more than the bitmaps the strings everything we will get sick of luna themes believe me!

As far as I know you can change the bmp itself, even change the texture and size to som extent... Also you can change icons, wallpapers. You can change some colors from the theme file... I know there are other changes that can be made in the ini, but when you do that it screws up the Style.....

Also alot of us are just getting used to doing this and hoping Style Builder will be out soon to make it easier on us...

yeah, mucking around in an ini file all day is not the most pleasant of things. especially when at any moment the entire theme could go ######-up for seemingly random reasons. plus, a lot of the things about the ini are undocumented, or at least, in the case of some of the messing around i've done, the units and such don't seem to adhere to a set size...that i can figure out..and sometimes what you think should work just won't, so changing the metrics of, say, the window controls is more difficult than you'd think. but doable nonetheless. just have to make a change, save, replace resource, save, update display properties view and hope the theme didn't corrupt, repeat for each change...me personally, after a day of that, i'm waiting for the style builder to come out...

yeh i would personally like the taskbar to be made a little thinner - its too thick IMO... (well until i have a monitor that canr run properly @1280 ;)

Just FYI, get restorator. Use it to extract ALL the bitmap files, edit them the way you want and you can then replace them ALL at the same time. Saves a lot of time then replacing them 1 at a time. I've made several themes quickly just changing the colors and replacing them all at once.
