[Announce] myPSP for Mac OS X

This is the app I've been hinting about the last few days. It's a PSP manager. Music, pictures, movies (currently disabled for certain reasons), saved games, and contacts. Yes, CONTACTS. You can save your contacts to your PSP and view them as images.

Enjoy.

Daz,

Odd. Can you send me the log file? I've gotten no other crash reports.

Steve,

Yes, but I'm working diligently on that. For example, when I copy over the MP3 files, I make sure that the ._ files are deleted after each copy. I hate .DS_Store files as much as you do. The problem is that it's a friggin' by-product of OS X. It's in my file server EVERYWHERE. Although I don't have a .DS_Store manager in the app yet, it IS on my to-do list.

Mike

how does this compare to ipsp?

It pretty much does the same as iPSP except that iPSP has been plagued with bugs since it was launched. In fact, the reason why I wrote this app was specifically because iPSP wreaked havoc on my computer (and if you read the reviews on versiontracker, you'll see I wasn't the only one).

What makes my app unique is the fact that you can convert the contacts in your address book into viewable images on you PSP so you can pretty much use your PSP as a read-only PDA. Also, with my app, you can see what you're copying. I don't like "blind copies" where you click something (such as a playlist or a photo album) and you have NO idea what you're copying, or you forgot. With myPSP, when you click an iTunes playlist, you get the track listing, and when you click on an iPhoto album, you get the first 10 photos (more than 10 and the Mac slows to a crawl...especially with 8MP images).

    • This is about the already discredited 2025 announcement. Not the current one, which I've heard nothing negative about in the academic literature.
    • So, for $60 we got GTA 5 WITH online. Now for $80, we get a game missing areas (shops locked to the $100 version) and no online. Progress!
