Good approach Medieval; with a couple of reservations.

smilieI found Microsoft's AntiSpyware to be buggy; Windows started behaving oddly on both my main machine and my laptop, odd behavior that ceased once I uninstalled it. So I would tell people to BEWARE! - at least until it gets out of Beta. Until that fine day arrives, I will likely stick with Lavasoft's Ad-Aware and Safer Networking's SpyBot-Search and Destroy. Not as transparent and user-friendly perhaps, but pretty effective, innocuous and non-invasive. Yes, Microsoft's final release will likely no longer be free, but "free" is not cheap enough in my opinion, if something starts mucking up my system, creating more problems than it solves.

smilieAnd I would also be wary of CClean. I found its behavior too aggressive. It removes a lot of garbage but it also removes things you might not want removed. It actually broke a couple of applications that I had to reinstall. I'm not saying not to use CClean. Just be VERY careful what you tell it to do. It can bite!

It was a good quick overview of different maintenance ideas, but not detailed enough to help anyone with a specific issue in a certain area. Furthermore, the quality of the guide suffers from grammatical inconsistencies and spelling errors.

Nice and simple, though this:

after rebooting the pc i suggest to start cleaning out spyware, spyware is made by pc nerdy's that dont have friends in real life and that are frustated cause they have no friends, so they make progs that look like what sites you go too, and then it sends commercials depending on your intrests, with the money the nerdys get from it they visit hores

doesn't really fit in it. Oh well, still.
