How do you get the avatars(like the ones in the pictures above) to STAY shown, like I always have to click on the little Miranda button on my system tray to show the avatars. When I click on something else, Miranda isn't the active application so the avatars don't show.

Any tips would be nice.

Two questions for anyone using nicer_plus.

a) Can you only show them status message under their name for certain protocols, or if enabled, does it automatically force with all.

b) Where can i change font, etc of the status message?

Edit: NM, found b :'D

But question A remains.

a) All or none.

I know this was probably covered throughout this thread...but this thread is 40+ pages so instead of mulling through it all I figured I'd ask...what all would someone need to make miranda look like Adium, and also transparent buddylist...I've seen people with a black and white/transparent Adium look on their miranda...and I'm very new to it and wondered how to do it...also are there any ready make paks to do this?

First time miranda user...this took me an entire day.

Much credit goes to Kronik for his fast replies, the 2 guides (not much its confusing and it burns brain cells!) and...uh ME! lol.

thx!u da man.

but guess what, right now i cant connect to MSN protocol..again! its wierd coz icq connects! Using the normal MSN client works. just miranda.

BUMMER

@PlayUpPompey: I don't use sounds, I don't know about the rest of the guys, but I find sounds one of the most annoying things about an IM.

Haha really? The only one i ever really hear is the "user online" and its just a little ping. Same with the first incomming message.

Mayb'e i've just gotten used to it :D

Also someone fix this "User is already in your contact list!" stuff ._.

Little off topic, but can you guys help me, since I've updated miranda.

Did a fresh install, uninstalled the last one and installed new one -> my messages to my friends have been LIGHT GREY, just not at my end, they say they can't read it.

How can I change it ?

I've gone trough the menus but I think I'm missing it, just didn't notice it.

Help ? :)

Something so simple, but so hard:

Hey guys, i want to configure my miranda im list this way. I already have, when buddies are away there is a different shade, than the buddy list. I want to make that shade of grey to the Group Name. How is that possible?

Hey Karma, so i found the solution by searching :p

when you install tabsrmm, a folder is created called ICONSXP and in that folder is tabsrmm_icons.dll. your Icon DLL settings (shown in the screenshot) should point to your tabsrmm_icons.dll file which should have extracted with tabsrmm (probably ICONSXP\ is in the plugins\ folder of the Miranda root folder)

But his screenshot that i should point the tabsrmm icons isnt available. So where do i point the tabsrmm icons dll to? My message box dont have icons becuase of this :(

they cant see your smileys

it's not like custom emoticons in MSN :p

in other clients your smileys are being replaced by the default smileys of that client

and if there are no keys assigned in the other client then they only see the letters you type

like in an irc client :p

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
