laptop and phone >> infared not working

infared seemed to have just stoped working.. it used to work fine, used it about a month ago but now when i try to send pictures from my nokia 3200 via infared it doesnt work? windows doesn't ask for the file to be recived, i've checked settings in the control panel, even reinstalled drivers, nothing.. help?

Don't bump so quickly. A 3k poster should know better.

I've never had any luck with IR. I would just double check the settings and make sure they are directly inline.

Also, have you any buddies you can check with their phone or laptop.

some phones infrared recievers and senders just suck and thats probly wat it is, especially nokia, unless it is a high-end nokia. SE are gd for infra-red

make sure the infrared port of your laptop is not set at a to high speed.

mine didn't work either when set on maximum ;)

try the slowest setting and then go up until you get an unstable or no connection

(worked for me)

(EDIT: I have a SE t68i, not a nokia)
