DVD Burning in Mac OS X

Is there any software on the Mac OS X that is equivalent to DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink?

Lots.

I really like MacTheRipper, but 0sEx and DVD Backup also work well.

From there you can use DVD2OneX or ffmpegX you make it fit on one disk.

There is also Handbrake for creating mpeg4 files from DVDs mac style, easy.

I use MacTheRipper + Roxio Popcorn.

Popcorn is nice cause it'll compress video from a dual layer dvd to fit on a regular DVD-R.

i have mactheripper and a dvd drive on my mac. dvd2oneX is to compress right? but what program can i use to burn it after?

could i use dvdimager or the dvd burner software on the mac or will i have to buy another dvd burner software?

Is there any software that will split DVD9 discs into two DVD5 discs while still maintaining the special features, trailers, menus and so on?

For example a DVD9 movie with 24 chapters, split into 2x 12 chapter DVD+R discs? I also use MTR and Popcorn to rip and compress (while removing subtitles and audio tracks not needed) DVD movies into one DVD+R.

For burning Ghost, I use Popcorn.

and another thing what if the dvd i ripped is able to fit on a dvd without compressing? can

i burn with a prog on my hard drive?

This is what I do, and you only need Popcorn to purchase. MTR is freeware. Rip the DVD with MTR. Then compress and burn with Popcorn. Popcorn DOES compress (in that you can remove subtitles and audio streams you don't need. So I just select the main track and only English subtitles and no commentary or anything else).

If the DVD fits without compressing (that is, losing nothing) then you can simply use Popcorn to burn, after ripping with MTR. Just select the VIDEO_TS folder and go from there. You can use Popcorn to burn.

There is no option to remove subtitltes in Popcorn. Since subtitles are very small anyway and do not matter (about 4-5MB). You only get to pick the languages and audio/video options. Mainly you will just want the main video and the audio. Just buy Popcorn. MTR is free.

i've got Toast Titanium 7, does Toast do what Popcorn does or do i have to buy Popcorn too?
