Home Remedies for swollen stuff

Recommended Posts

So today me and a few of my friends were messing around on my buddy's stair case...and he has this shelf that you can hang on if u jump off the top story, so i try it and i slip off the top story of his house and fall to the first  i fell straight down onto the tile floor and hit my knee first...to make a long story short, my left knee is about 3 times the size of my right knee, and its so swollen that i can't even move it. Does anybody know anything i can do besides keeping it elevated and icing it?

Treating Swollen Knees

The best way to treat a swollen knee due to injuries or overuse is to follow the RICE System:

Rest your swollen knee.

Ice your swollen knee.

Compress your swollen knee.

Elevate your swollen knee.

If you?re looking for leg elevators or leg cushions to more easily get your swollen knees and legs elevated, click here.

if you got a 24 hour Sav-On/rite aid open, go and buy a knee sleeve (about $15) and slip it on.. it'll help w/ the compression and keep your knee cap in place.

naproxen will help take the swelling down. for pain i suggest some pain killers

i've been there quite a few times in the past months for drivers' training...weather up there is so much better than down here in a valley :(

whoa wait.. did this happen within the last two hours? why would you jump off a roof in the dark? lol

important thing is you had fun.

hope you don't get to it, but if you do.. seeing a physical therapist 2 times a week is not going to be fun, i somehow injured my right now.. my petella to be exact.. dont' know how, it just started hurting.

they do all kinds of stuff from excercies to electricity.. now they're going to do an MRI scan.. sometimes next month.

i'm out,
