it's funny what happens when you bring eye candy to an app that touted itself as being the simplistic, no frills IM app lol.

But by doing so it sells Miranda out to a larger group.

It reminds me of a Japanese IM I've tried before, both depend on plugins and are pretty difficult to setup for a novice computer user.

well thats why the plugin isn't included in the download. It's not selling out. This is a 3rd party plugin.

Just edit the relevent CSS file. Search for "head_graphite" and "head_teal" and swap them round :)

Awesome man, looks sweet, just a few minor issues:

1. Name/Time header doesn't work when the chat window is at it's minimum width, the time gets bumped down to the next line. I was able to fix it for myself, but I know my fix wouldn't work for everyone (I changed the width of the name from 60% to 180 px, and the width of the Timestamp from 39% to 65px).

2. Status change messages also don't fit the minimum width. Same thing here, last part gets bumped down to the last line. This one I'm not really quite sure how to fix (is there anyway to remove the previous status, as in "Signed off (was Online)"? It'd fit then.

3. This one isn't really a huge deal, was just wondering why it's not there: the timestamps on grouped messages, as seen here candybars_message_view_styles_3581385_img_1675.png

I'd assume the CSS for it was just too much of a pain, but I'd be curious to see if I could get it to work.

Anyway, overall awesome work, it's the template that finally convinced me to use IEView :D

Thanks nazgul. Regarding No. 1, I used % as I dont know how long each persons contact names are, restricting the sizes to px means if someone has a long contact name, then the template will mess up. I will try to fix this, there will definately a way round it. The same goes for No. 2 really, and for the previous status, as far as Im aware that is just IE-View.

And lastly the time stamp on grouped messages, to be perfectly honest, I dont use it, so totally forgot about putting it in. If I the majority of people would like to see it implimented then I will give it a shot.

Yea, I'd like the time on grouped messages (Y)

I don't have time to mess with it personally right now, but what I'd try first is putting the name and timestamp into seperate divs with the name one floating left, and the time floating right.

One step ahead of you ;) I tried that when I first set out, but due to IE limitations, it didnt work out how I planned.

Razor you did it the using the hard way but looks pretty good too, I really like some combinations :D

And I think that the time stamp is needed too, and it's pretty easy to add just add just use the same code as the original (put the time before the text and add a float to the right) and it will work perfectly eventhough IE CSS upport is crappy

Thanks Karma. Ive implimented the timestamp, but as MSN is down I have no means of testing it at the mo :p
