3ddesk and my behind nvidia kernel module

when i try to run 3ddesktop i get this

Attempting to start 3ddesktop server.
Error: API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module is version 1.0.7167, but
this library is version 1.0.7174. Please be sure that your kernel
module and all NVIDIA driver files have the same driver version.
Daemon started.  Run 3ddesk to activate.
Server not found after waiting 5 seconds.
Could not find server.
Try starting manually (3ddeskd)

So what im gathering is that i have to update my nvidia kernel module, how do i do so. Just incase your wondering, dled 3ddesktop from synaptic.

Should be on apt too... Search for it. If not remove those libs and module, and use the NVIDIA installer

Odd.

I have nvidia module 7167 installed, yet 3ddesk worked out of the box for me.
