Because the start tag is
but ends in

Looks pretty straight foward to me. Either you are missing
somewhere or you are missing

You could probably just have posted the source to the file that was erroring and then someone could have pointed out exactly where for you.

I added a channel tag at the start, now I'm getting a different error:

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A semi colon character was expected. Error processing resource 'http://timrogers.host-dot.com/blog/cutenews/rss.php'. Line...

http://timrogers.host-dot.com/cutenews/show_news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1111916746&archive=</link&...

and this is the code in the active news section:

{title}

{short-story}

Now what?

Your <link& is the problem. Change that to:

Root, I've done what you said, so now the code is:

{title}

{short-story}

But still I am getting the error:

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A semi colon character was expected. Error processing resource 'http://www.timrogers.host-dot.com/blog/cutenews/rss.php'. Line 12, Position 81

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------^

Now what?

And now were back to:

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

End tag 'channel' does not match the start tag 'title'. Error processing resource 'http://www.timrogers.host-dot.com/blog/c...

If you want just attach the php file here and someone will take a look at it. At least I will.

Here is the code on the RSS template:

{title}

{short-story}

And the code in rss.php:

<?PHP
header("Content-type: text/xml");
echo"

TimRogersBlog

Blog

";

$template="rss";
include("show_news.php");

echo"

";
?>

And I corrected it, and guess what now! Another problem, here is the error:

XML Parsing Error: undefined entity

Line Number 12, Column 78:

See the
tags? One wasn't closed. The one right above the
tag is your culprit. I would assume you can just remove it and everything will work fine. That or add
above it.

Edit:...also you aren't using a WYSIWYG editor to edit this file right? I understand you'd be looking in an "edit source" type option, but some WYSIWYG editors will get confused when trying to keep everything correct and actually mess it up.

OK, removed channel tags...

RSS.php code is:

<?PHP
header("Content-type: text/xml");
echo"

TimRogers

Blog

";

$template="rss";
include("show_news.php");

echo"

";
?>

and the code for the cutenews RSS template is:

{title}

{short-story}

And now, here is the error on rss.php:

The XML page cannot be displayed

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

I didn't catch it before, but you have a
tag closed, but not opened. Look below to what's in bold. There is no
tag to close.
