NEVER85
I recently got a new Labtec wireless mouse, but no matter what I do, I can't get the damn thing to work. I unplugged the PS/2 mouse, hooked the receiver into the USB port, and Windows said "Your new hardware is installed and ready to use". Yeah, like hell it was. The mouse didn't work at all. I couldn't move the arrow, the buttons didn't work, nothing. I tried rebooting several times, that didn't help. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers, and that didn't help either. I went into Device Manager, and it said everything was working properly, but that simply wasn't the case. I have no viruses or malware of any kind on my computer, so someone please help. Mouse: http://labtec.com/index.cfm/gear/details/A...9,contentid=627 OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/308066-labtec-wireless-mouse-not-working-at-all/ Share on other sites
maurere
Is there a "sync" button on the bottom of the mouse? A coworker had a similar mouse and he had to synchronize the mouse with the receiver... NEVER85
There's a "Reset" button. I tried that, but no go. :( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/308066-labtec-wireless-mouse-not-working-at-all/#findComment-585767323 Share on other sites
trashpickinman
Batteries installed? Dumb question I know; but needs to be asked. Or try replacing batteries. NEVER85
Yes, the batteries are installed, and they're brand new. I'd rather get the mouse working again before resorting to getting a new one. It HAS worked before, but now, nope.
