Lawrens
Hello, I'm planning on switching from my powerbook to an iMac this summer, and what I'd like to do is to copy my user directory to the new iMac, and log on to that computer as I usually do on my powerbook, since it's my brother's computer and he's going to be using my powerbook (we're trading computers since he need a laptop now for travelling instead =)), he'd like to do the same. What's the best and quickest way to do this? I want to keep all my itunes, iphoto folders, safari bookmarks, etc. Do I just copy my whole user directory over? Thanks! Pilsbury
Assuming it's a new iMac see http://www.apple.com/macosx/features/setup/ AFAIK, 10.3 has this as well Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/310049-moving-user-profile/#findComment-585792006 Share on other sites
