Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas PC Preview

Recommended Posts

The cars don't look as shiny as they look on the PS2 version of GTA: San Andreas. The whole game looks smoother, thanks to anti-aliasing. I'm going to get this game once it's out.

Sweet. I can't wait for the PC version. I wish more publishers would put there games out on dvd. In this day and age, most people should have at least a dvd-rom drive anyway, and putting games out on 3 or 4 cd's is rediculous.

ditto

man my 9700 non pro, 512mb and 2.4 p4 are starting to show its age in modern games.

hopefully it can play this one good though (vice city was looking awesome on my setup)

But unlike the previous entries in the series, San Andreas also has a huge number of extra features and side games--like changing your appearance, learning to pilot a boat or helicopter, playing basketball, and even dancing--all of which will appear intact in the PC version.
If you want, you can simply drive across the entire length of the state of San Andreas, which is roughly five times the size of Vice City, without hitting a single loading screen.

NICE, i like :)

The game itself takes less than ten seconds (with a 3.2 GHz P4 and 1GB of PC3200 on the laptop), outdoor/indoor transitions are instantaneous, and cutscenes load whip-smart.

So not the best video card required, finally a game I want that doesn't require an upgrade of some sort.

Yeah, I forgot what though.

But I don't have a dvd burner :(

Means I have to get it, split it up into CD's move it across recompile it and then use alcohol 120%

:ninja:

But yeah, it looks ok, not as bad as VC which I thought looked horrible.

    • never mind the video had a couple swear words... gosh it was funny!
    • It's expensive, but I bet it will still sell out just like the Steam Deck and the Steam Controller
    • This is listed as a preview in WU for me. I usually don't grab them as previews; what's your opinion on it so far?
