How to upgrade...

Hey guys. How do you go about upgrading from an older version of IPB like 1.3.1 to the latest one? Yes, donwloaded and paid for. What steps do you take, etc...Thanks.

Read the readme and all will be revealed.

? Just upload the "upgrade" folder to your forum root and run:

http://domain.com/forum/upgrade/index.php

? Then just follow the instructions!

? Note that if you upgrade your forum from v1.x to v2.x, then you will lose all your board modifications & skins!

Actually to upgrade from 1.3 you don't use upgrade/index.php, just read the readme and all will be clear...

to upgrade from 1.X to 2.0.3 you use upgrade/upgrade.php

if your upgrading from 2.0.X to 2.0.3 then u use upgrade/index.php

If you have any problems or are unconfortable doing it, you could always get IPS to do it for you, just submit a support ticket. :)

No .. IPS will perform the upgrade for free.
