CPU 3 GHZ cannot support win98 ?

In the UK Win2k Pro (These are oem prices) still costs more than XP Home.

It's a waste of time installing Win98 on a machine of that spec as it's not gonna handle it well at all.

Not sure why it isn't installing, like has been said above make sure your hdd is formated to FAT32, but like was also said havng over 512MB will make win98 run slower (due to poor caching routines).

I wouldn't spend the time and effort trying to install, i know it's added expensive but you will need to shell out for a copy of XP Home, a small bonus is if your processor is new it might have HT technology which win2k and XP (XP supports better) supports.
