Er... oh well, if you want to, you can look up my license plate # and rape me or something, I'll have some interior pictures in a few minutes when it gets dark. That's when the interior shines.

It's really fast. The other day, I raced a 5.0 v8 with some modifications and whooped him. Not sure what all he had done or what the stipulations were, but I go to school with him and know he fixed it up a pretty good bit.

As far as MSRP, I think it goes for around 21. I had to go about 350 miles away to get what I wanted because they are quite rare around my parts.

Why bother blanking out your license plate, I figure...much more likely to be shot by some nutjob with a loaded gun in their glovebox :D

Nice looking car, hope it holds up well for you (supposedly Hyundai is getting better). MSRP of 21k for this car would make it pretty much fully loaded. Every Hyundai I see around here is owned by some ricer who thinks when the paint on their fartcan matches the LED's in their windshield wipers, their whip is pimped...

Does Hyundai have a bad rep? Just out of curiousity. I haven't really heard anything negative about them, but I keep hearing stuff that's hinting towards a bad rep. Either way, it's got a 10 year warranty.

Haha, I hate ricers. It screws the car over. Especially those ones that make their own car club and then draw a sign for it on a piece of posterboard and put it in their windshield. Not the whole piece of posterboard, mind you, but the part that has writing on it. That's what someone at my school did, makes me so mad cause it's a 93 nissan something or another. Oh well.

I live in Alabama. It's a fairly quiet neighborhood, but I grew up in Iowa, so I haven't really adapted to the lifestyle here.

ImageShack just died so I'll post pictures of my seats in a few minutes. They're my favorite, or close to it.

Haha, have trouble believing it then, but it happened. It may have been that he didn't know what he was doing or he messed up or something, but it sure as hell isn't a lie.

I'm not sure why, but I love the seats. The simple design of them is pure absolution. And now, the seats with flash.

Yeah, it shouldn't be able to take a V6 mustang easily.

172 hp @ 6,000 rpm

181 lb-ft. @ 3,800 rpm

The kid probably messed up his car "modding" it. :)

Hyundai doesn't have the best rep, mainly because they are Korean and Korean cars have an overall bad rep for one reason or another. I think Hyundai has came a long way in the last couple of years. It's a nice looking car but it'd be described peppy at best. Still probably fun to drive if you have the 6spd.

Heh, I'm still in high school, so it's the best I could do. Oh well, they have a great warranty, so if it so happens that anything DOES go wrong, I think most of it will be covered.

And as far as peppy, are you talking about speed or looks?

585824763[/snapback]

Its a great car for a HS student. I meant peppy as in speed. Like its responsive but not so much powerful. :)

Just don't put stickers and stuff on it and it will stay a good car. :)

Which transaxle is it?

nice car man, I have a Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai has come a looooong way so don't listen to any of the Hyundai bashers. Really great cars for a great value, couldn't be happier with mine.

However, the part about racing a v8 and winning, yeah I dont really believe that, lol. If you have the base Tiburon its the same engine as my Elantra, and even if you got the v6 no way is it faster then a v8.

Still, great car, I think youll love it!

It's FWD. If I do anything, it sure as hell won't be stickers ^_^

And why would I make up beating a 5.0? If you've read past posts, they've offered many optional reasons as to why I may have beaten him. I'm not even sure if it was a v8, I'm just going off the assumption that all 5.0s at that time were v8s. I'm so much of a noob at racing and stuff though, I won't even try and sound smart, but won't weight have somewhat of a factor in it? I know it won't be enough to factor a win, but I'm just curious. Thanks.

Nice on your elantra, they're nice cars.

By transaxle I meant transmission (yransaxle because it is FWD) :)

Is it 6spd, 5spd manual, or auto.

All 5L mustangs are V8. :) That's be a big cylinder in a V6. :)

What year was it? There are a number of reasons you could have beat him. A car is only as good as the driver... at least sometimes. :)

You could have raced from a stop and you started first, and you didn't go very far. Basicly street racing negates any kind of bragging rights. And don't go aroud telling people your faster than the GT. :)

    • This one baffles me...so they are creating a museum based around the Ship of Theseus? A museum is supposed to preserve things. It doesn't really work if the conversation goes, "I gazed upon Starry Night the other day, the colours were beautiful!" "Yeah...I didn't expect Godzilla to show up, though." Create a building devoted to displaying AI work, fine. The rainforest idea sounds interesting and I would consider visiting if they pay me a few bucks. But don't call it a museum...
    • >defenders of AI-generated artworks often claim that AI is just a tool It is not. It is the inhuman artist replacement. The human writing the prompt is the employer/manager requesting the work product of the artist -- a supervisory/descriptive job that doesn't carry with it any rights to the copyright of that work product at all. And since AI is not human itself, it can't gain copyright for anything it is asked to regurgitate or hallucinate, so it can't transfer that copyright to the employer/manager/human who asked for the output. This was all legally reaffirmed last year. So, no, while there are AI tools, AI slopware generation is NOT a "tool" in the legal definition of that word.

    • Google is opening the world's first AI museum in Los Angeles by Ivan Jenic Image via: Google Ever since AI image generators went mainstream, the debate over whether AI-generated art is real art hasn't let up. Those who don’t consider AI to be art say that if a machine does the creating and anyone can prompt it, there’s no skill involved, and therefore no art is produced. The counter-argument is equally persistent, as defenders of AI-generated artworks often claim that AI is just a tool, and that every major technological breakthrough, like the camera or the computer, was met with the same skepticism before eventually being accepted as a legitimate creative medium. Google’s position in this debate is clear. Which is no surprise, as the company is investing billions in AI infrastructure. And now, in efforts to encourage people to use its AI even more, Google is opening Dataland on June 20, which it's calling the world's first AI arts museum. Located inside The Grand LA, a Frank Gehry-designed building in Los Angeles, the museum spans 25,000 square feet. The museum is built around a collaboration with media artist Refik Anadol, who has worked with Google since 2016. The inaugural exhibition is called Machine Dreams: Rainforest, and is powered by an AI model trained on “an extensive dataset of the natural world.” It generates 1.2 billion pixels of visuals in real time and reacts to visitors dynamically. The space also generates soundscapes, real-time emotion sensing, and algorithmically produced scents. Image via: Refik Anadol Studio / Google Google says that the museum is powered by its Gemini models, which run on Google Cloud. So, everything is generated inside one of Google’s AI data centers and is streamed to the museum. Alongside the museum opening, Google Arts & Culture is funding an AI Artist Residency, giving four artists $25,000 grants each, along with mentorship from Refik Anadol Studio and access to Google's machine learning tools. Their work will be shown at Dataland and on the Google Arts & Culture website later this year. Google’s AI museum will undoubtedly initiate a fired-up debate on social media, and we can’t wait to see the first reactions. Via: Smithsonian Magazine
