a few of my friends have been talking about symantec corp 10 and i tryed looking on the symantec corp support site ,the virus def page in downloads and the symantec ftp and it dose not mention symantec corp antivirus 10

so dose anyone have a screenshot

It does reference some of the new features it has like "Expanded Threat Detection and Threat Categorization", and "Threat Tracer identifies the source of blended threat attacks that spread via open file shares" I think...correct me if im wrong.

I have it installed. It's real but it gave me trouble installing over 9.0.3.1000. It messed up royaly. Wouldn't live update, no tray icon. I was going to format anyway, so I did. It runs flawlessly now.

I am testing it but it seems version 10 comes with a file called DoScan.exe that takes up close to 100 % of CPU cycles and starts with around 100MB memory usage and increases every few seconds.... Anyone have a clue to what this file is?

I've never heard of DoScan.exe. One process you might see running in the background is Rtvscan.exe which is the real-time virus scan.

thats just the startup scan. it adds it by default (god knows why it's a real pain in the ass)

just delete it from the startup scans in the main window :)

The main difference with it is that it supports/is optimsed Windows x64 edition or has a version for it at least...
