hey all

today i tried going on my gprs and when i went to the browser and error cam up APP. closed browser, i looked around and saw it may be resoveld by formating or resetting the phone so i did (the *#whateverway# and the green +3+*) and still the problem carried on any other ideas ? or any other programs that i could use?

thanks for the help in advance Matthew

I Got all the required settings from there website but yet still dosnt work or do you mean i need special settings as it's a genie sim?

the fact that its an old sim may be the problem.

at orange, when we sell new phones, whether they're payg or upgrades, we always give out new simcards and update the accounts to be on the new simcards - because the older sims simply do not work with newer features in most cases.

you may need to call o2 to get a new sim sent out.

the things is i've tried this sim in a nokia 7610 and it works fine? and correct me if im wrong a 7610 is a newer phone then the 6600. and also i use to use this in my Ngage.

do you still think it's cus i've got an old sim?

also the browser on the phone is actuaslly crashing before it even gets to dialing up

Try using another browser such as Opera or Netfront and see if that helps. Also, if you are not using the latest firmware, you can try and update that. I know the 6600 was a very buggy phone at first, but firmware revisions have fixed a lot of the problems.

That's right, but if it's still under warranty, Nokia will do it for free. Talk to your local dealer or go to the Nokia Care Centre online.
