It's from a series of comparison photos a STALKER fan did a year or two back, actually. I have no clue how they pieced it together ;)

I'm looking forward to this title and hopefully it will introduce something new as far as game play. A good game should have great gameplay, story line and awesome sounds, A few questions that realy matter

Anybody hear what they plan on using for sound? I hope the environment is open like far-cry or ghost recon with not too much area loading like in HL2. Will it be more of a chapter loading verses area loading? How about the physics engine will it be HaVoK or their own? Enough about graphics

You know all this talk of graphics "this verses that" spoils it! From the screenshots the game looks way better than a lot of the games I presently enjoy playing. True some of the screenies so far are lacking in many areas such as bump mapping but after playing through HL2 and DOOM III I have found many areas in those two ttitles where they are lacking, and those are two great engines. Chode what level of pixel shading?

Hopefully I'll feel that I'm emersed in the environment

I'm sure it will be surround sound. The thing is, GSC, I have never heard of that company, and it's already good of them to spend over 3 years creating this game... companies like Valve and id have lot's of stockpiled cash from their past successful games, so really it's a gamble for any company to spend so much time on a game like GSC is. Another thing is, with huge levels it's hard to get models looking exactly realistic in the time they have to complete the game. It takes TONS of work just to finish one little model in a game, and to create kilometres of it is just an insane task. I marvel at how these types of games are created, and think for the content, this game definately has good enough graphics.
