Got to play with one tonight and its great fun. Lots of grip, lots of power and non UK plates ... Police looked puzzeled to hell at me :)

3.5l V6 Skline 350GT. 2004 which has been shipped into the EU from Japan. Still has the Jap satnav disk in. Its been brought over by the company that my dad works for and fitted some gismos to test that should feature in the 2006 models.

Though not allowed to say what they are.

Here some piccys though.

looks awesome, we'll never see them in the states.

It's already here as the Infinity G35 as has been previously mentioned in this thread. Personally, I do like it, but have to admit the style and design of the GT-R34 and the previous versions (R32 & R33) are sorely missed. I think a lot of what sets apart a Skyline has been lost in the redesign. I'd still buy one if my budget would allow, but would make it into more of a racing inspired/style vehicle.

If some folks aren't aware, but there is no Lexus in Japan. They are all Toyotas. The same thing applies to Infiniti which are all Nissans in Japan and other parts of the world.I get such a laugh because I work in the insurance industry (auto adjuster). People 's perception of a vehicle can greatly differ just because of the brand name attached to it. To me, I really like and would love to have a Lexus IS300, but have a problem paying $15000 for one that has over a hundred thousand miles on it. Retail price for a new one is currently beyond my means.

*If you are wondering, I own a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege. Also, no biases here because I'm half-Japanese and have lived there. I left Japan after living there for ten years right when the GT-R line was being resurrected in the form of the GT-R32 in 1990. Also, there are other versions of the Skyline besides the GT-R which is the top model.

Excuse me for a getting a bit off-topic!

Actually the G35 ISNT a skyline. its the same basic chassie but so many things are different. the reason they dont sell R32s and R33s is because it doesnt pass so many standards in the US. I guess it would cost too much to make it street worthy here. or something. but from my research the G35 is not a skyline. just looks like it.

ok....

Skyline 350GT = Infiniti G35

And yes, it is the exact same thing. They just use RHD over there and they have more options/accessories. Same chassis, body, VQ35DE engine, etc. etc.

And Skyline doesn't always mean GT-R. GT-R is the highest Skyline trim level with the most power. There is also a 2-wheel drive R32/33/34, a non turbo, single turbo - as in GT, GTST, GTT...and some other trim levels I don't remember.

Just because it isn't a GTR doesn't mean it's not a Skyline.

Nissan will sell GTR's in the US when it comes out in 2007. It will come out as a Nissan and not a Infiniti, or so I've heard. There isn't much info out there about this car yet. I think it'll be shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon next year

So your testing out some stuff that will be likely included in the GTR???

TN_skyline350gt_IMG_5.jpg

Hmmm... is that an A-pillar boost guage? :woot:

Would be nice if they would come up with a TT AWD ~ 380-400 hp/tq with a 6spd manual. That would be an amazing car. Especially if they could make it under 35K. Though that probably wouldn't happen.

How about an underhood pic? :)

I don't see a boost gauge....

Greddty TT kit would get it up to 400HP at the crank for around $6000-$7000 + install. You could do a custom turbo kit for around the same as the turbo/supercharger kits for the VQ that would make 400+ WHP though

I was talking under the black box. :)

Also I know about aftermarket stuff but your not going to have a warranty by the time you add the Greddy.

Looks like an Infiniti G35 Coupe. I like the 07 Skyline concept. I hope they keep the design.

True. Gotta pay to play. But, you can get the Vortec Super Charger for around the same price. A little less power and needs a new hood (I don't really like), but they give you a 2 year warranty I think

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
