rememeber the nissan skyline gt-r concept in 2000? ya turned out to be the rebranded (in NA) inifinti g35. so im assuming... if the platform changes for the skyline, it will aswell for the 350 and the g35. if anything the gt-r will have over the g and the z an engine upgrade, suspension and tire upgrade. but the chassis will be the same. and thats all.

edit: sorry was 2001 when the concept was revealed at the tokyo auto show.

ITS A FRICKAN GIRLS CAR OMFG.  Ugliest car ever.

??? You obviously know nothing about cars. A miata is a girls car. A new eclipse is a girls car. A G35 is definately not a girls car. Though there is nothing wrong with a girl owning one. Especially a manual. :woot: lol

There aren't many cars in this price range that handle and have the power of these.

Miatas aren't girl cars either. Yes they look a bit that way, but they are track monsters. GSX is pretty fast also, don't like the new eclipses though.

a girls car? really? i bet u call the 99-04 mustang GT's a mans car though right? then explain why this "girls car" can run the same times, have a killer awd system and give you a much more refined interior at the same time?

Girls car my as you want to see a girls car go look at anyone that has an auto in a v8

Miatas are unless they're around cones. :) (Or its been souped up) I've seen some single turbo setups that were pretty wicked for that little car.

The new Eclipses are pretty messed up compared to the DSM ones, imo.

I guess mainly because there is no turbo option.

what i don't like in america, they got all ths stupid **** of renaming the same cars to make more out of people, lexus and infinity ..all bullsheeat, just make it Nissan and Toyota okay!!

Well the models aren't exactly the same. Some are very close but you get luxuary features in the more expensive name. And there are platforms on one that aren't on the other. Sure the camry shares a structure with a Lexus but there are differences in the build. They have done this, imo, to create brand recognition.

But hey apparently the 'rest of the world' knows exactly what they are doing.

uhh what are you talking about.... most of the world dont use the luxury spinoffs like northamerica does ie infiniti, acura, lexus.

for example... acura tsx.. (north america) its the accord everywhere else in the world.. and no they are not different. an this nissan skyline 350. its a g35 in NA and its the samething. so i dunno where you coming from. the point of the other poster was that they shoudl elimiate the spinoff names and keep to the parent company.

I know the G35 is not exactly the same as a 350Z. Same platform, engine, transmisison, so on. The differences are the available options and the interior. They are pretty much different cars that are mechanically the same. I don't know about the non-NA ones though. Is there a 2 seater skyline? The 350Z is a two seater.

These spinnoff names are given to the more luxuary featured cars. True some are almost exactly the same but not all. I don't know what the original idea was but I think it is a marketing thing. They have given these cars different names and provided some extra features, cushier interior and so on and used the name recognition to distinguish from their counterpart. Plus imo it is nice in the case of the z/g to have the same great platform with two choices in style.

Also often you will get better service at the dealership of an Acura, Infiniti, lexus than of a Honda, Nissan, Toyota.

no , yo udidnt get what i said. the infiniti G35 is the same as the Nissan Skyline. which shares the same paltform with the 350. we (north america) use infiniti, as well as acura, lexus etc.... whereas the rest of the world doesnt. they stick to 1 name from the company. anohter example is the lexus 300/350 (to us nother americans) which is a toyota 300/350 to the rest of the world. and yes they are the EXACT same. again the whole point of what the other guys meant. us north americans (screw the marketing) and just stick to the parent companies name.

btw, sorry if i sounded like an ass in the ealrier post. heh

OK I gotcha. I had known about this kind of thing from the NSX. Here it's Acura NSX and over seas it's Honda NSX. I misunderstood and thought they were saying our Toyota and Lexus were exactly the same.

So in one case they have a Toyota ES300 instead of Camry? Or do they have both with the 300 being more luxurious?

    • >defenders of AI-generated artworks often claim that AI is just a tool It is not. It is the inhuman artist replacement. The human writing the prompt is the employer/manager requesting the work product of the artist -- a supervisory/descriptive job that doesn't carry with it any rights to the copyright of that work product at all. And since AI is not human itself, it can't gain copyright for anything it is asked to regurgitate or hallucinate, so it can't transfer that copyright to the employer/manager/human who asked for the output. This was all legally reaffirmed last year. So, no, while there are AI tools, AI slopware generation is NOT a "tool" in the legal definition of that word.

    • Google is opening the world's first AI museum in Los Angeles by Ivan Jenic Image via: Google Ever since AI image generators went mainstream, the debate over whether AI-generated art is real art hasn't let up. Those who don’t consider AI to be art say that if a machine does the creating and anyone can prompt it, there’s no skill involved, and therefore no art is produced. The counter-argument is equally persistent, as defenders of AI-generated artworks often claim that AI is just a tool, and that every major technological breakthrough, like the camera or the computer, was met with the same skepticism before eventually being accepted as a legitimate creative medium. Google’s position in this debate is clear. Which is no surprise, as the company is investing billions in AI infrastructure. And now, in efforts to encourage people to use its AI even more, Google is opening Dataland on June 20, which it's calling the world's first AI arts museum. Located inside The Grand LA, a Frank Gehry-designed building in Los Angeles, the museum spans 25,000 square feet. The museum is built around a collaboration with media artist Refik Anadol, who has worked with Google since 2016. The inaugural exhibition is called Machine Dreams: Rainforest, and is powered by an AI model trained on “an extensive dataset of the natural world.” It generates 1.2 billion pixels of visuals in real time and reacts to visitors dynamically. The space also generates soundscapes, real-time emotion sensing, and algorithmically produced scents. Image via: Refik Anadol Studio / Google Google says that the museum is powered by its Gemini models, which run on Google Cloud. So, everything is generated inside one of Google’s AI data centers and is streamed to the museum. Alongside the museum opening, Google Arts & Culture is funding an AI Artist Residency, giving four artists $25,000 grants each, along with mentorship from Refik Anadol Studio and access to Google's machine learning tools. Their work will be shown at Dataland and on the Google Arts & Culture website later this year. Google’s AI museum will undoubtedly initiate a fired-up debate on social media, and we can’t wait to see the first reactions. Via: Smithsonian Magazine
    • Calling GTA 6 overhyped crap doesn’t make you edgy, it just makes you sound like someone who hasn’t enjoyed anything since the PS2 era.
    • I’m not arguing whether Rockstar likes money. Obviously, they do, they’re a business. I’m saying this isn’t new. They’ve always launched console first. This is just how Rockstar operates.
