I am now using a friend's computer to type this problem out... This problem is very random, i.e. I can access the internet yesterday but not today and sometimes I can, but sometimes I can't.

THERE IS NO SPYWARE OR VIRUS IN MY COMP - that i can be very sure... and I tried using firefox... also no help.

I'm using broadband with enternet connection..

Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

Start the computer in safe mode and do the scans again.

Do you and your friend use the same internet provider?  Same router?  Do you have a firewall?

One last thing. Turn everything off and unplug your router from the wall (the power cord). plug the router back in after a couple of minutes and then turn everything back on.
