if whenever you finalize the look your template is going for in the mock, just send me the psd and then i will find time to do it...i am thinking of having a template done for this weekend

you can find my contact information at my site (click on the image in my sig)

Looking great!

2 suggestions:

-would it be possible to make the little white "frame" surrounding the black conversation box strand out a bit more? Maybe make it thicker... or whiter... Stefanka's spirit has that around the winamp window and it looks great, just as an example.

-do you guys think it would look better if the dotted white line was dark grey instead (the colour of the large timestamp)?

Also, I vote against the large timestamp, while we're on the topic :) .

Love the concept, good job!

Took into account some people's ideas

1) timestamp removed

2) White lines are now dark grey

3) rounded the bottom of the "file status" box

4) added a much stronger white line around the transparent black boxes

5) created a small "incoming" and "outgoing" symbols in the bottom right of each message box.

6) User status is now displayed.

Thx :D :D, i cant wait to start working on this too, but i got an exam on monday. I'll see if i can do anything after monday b4 my next exam. If i have time i mite even be able to finalize it 2nite, but no promises. I also want to design custom icons for the toolbar on the message window.

Leetl90: ye it was originally a timestamp before i changed it to a status indicator, i'll probably switch back to a timestamp.

you create a new document, same dimensions as your desired pattern. then, create your pattern (in this case, a diagonal line), so use the pencil tool to just draw the number of pixels in a diagonal fashion. after you're done this (make sure it has a transparent background), go to Edit -> Define Pattern. Press OK (assign a name if needed).

after this, go to the image where you would like to apply the pattern (correct layer as well). select the paint bucket tool (right click on gradient tool) and for the Fill options (on the toolbar) select pattern. then choose the pattern you created. then just click on the image (to fill it with the pattern)

    • IBM are good at announcing stuff, but not at actually delivering it... How many decades ago did they announce quantum computers, and here we are in 2026, with CHINA delivering them, and IBM still talking...
    • It sounds like you’re trying to rewrite a narrative to align this layoff with your political beliefs. Games can be horrible, whatever backwards notions you have don’t change that bungie has problems, mostly with just bad games, and arrogance. When they pushed Microsoft to let them be independent they lost their way. They hired on a bunch of people and they couldn’t justify the employee count consistent with their revenue.
