APL88 Posted May 6, 2005 Share Posted May 6, 2005 I believe you can go into your Power Settings (I think?) And make it so when you close the lid it only turns the screen off. Vice Posted May 6, 2005 Share Posted May 6, 2005 you cannot do it without using 3rd party programs, it is not recommended since allot of heat gets dissipated through the keyboard and the bottom left part of the iBook and it can overheat and break components Apple made it like that for a reason! If you wanted closed lid operation you really should have bought a Powerbook that were designed with the feature in mind. Vice Posted May 6, 2005 Share Posted May 6, 2005 you have to have an External Monitor plugged into the Powerbook for it to do it automatically however using the program suggested will do it and safely since the Powerbook was designed with closed lid operation in mind.
