I'd go to Best Buy. Maybe they'll give you a 60 GB since they couldn't by agreement downgrade you to a 30 GB. I believe that the best buy extended warranty plan is designed so that you don't have to hassle with the manufacturer. At least that's what I was told when I got the 3 years on my xbox. They just said if something breaks, bring it back and you can walk right out of the store with a new one.

I sure hope that they'll just give me a 60 gig- I'm going to Europe at the end of may so it would be horrible to send it in and all

Thanks man- now I have something to hope for tommorow :)

why dont you try troubleshooting first?!?!?!

Connect up to the charger and then try and reset unit by holding menu and select till apple logo appears. This should bring the ipod "back to life", if successful, your iPod is fine, if not, then it will need service/replacement.

darn!

stuff like that will make me switch idea and buy a creative micro

Actually, if you base your decisionmaking abilities on completely random forum posts, you might not need a Creative Micro after all. You might be just as happy with a cuisinart, or a pony.

Not saying you're an idiot. Uhhh. Base your decisions on features, compatability and personal opinion. Try not to 'switch idea' without some research...or some use of your thought processes. In fact, that's not bad advice for most things you choose to do. Like responding to forum posts.
