is this car just "hot" for everyone cuz of its fame from Initial D? My nephew swears by this car and I don't understand the logic behind it. We usually get into a discussion about it and I seem to always miss the love when it comes to this ride.

well yeah, a lot of the love for this car comes from initial d. But it was such an awesome performer of its time, considering price. A cult car, some people understand it, some people dont. i can see where were people are coming from when they know nothing about it and judge it based on looks... its not exactly stunning to look at. But if you look at it from the perspective of its history, its an amazing car. And the whole drift thing makes it arguably "the" car for drifting (i really wouldn't know but i hear it everywhere)

The beauty of a car based on the physical appearance and its performance is entirely subjective.

I don't like this car because of Initial D, I don't even like Initial D. After seeing Keiichi Tsuchiya drive and drift one and him continually bragging about what the car could do, I did more research on it and found that it had a lot of potential.

that car has near perfect weight distribution, is very light and with minor modification can make a fair amount of power. plus they're cheap.
