Hi, a few hours ago I found my Ipod Mini in a very small puddle of water on my desk. The Ipod was clearly NOT submerged, so I dried it off and tried turning it on.

It didn't turn on, so I figured the battery was out. I tried charging it, and it started charging for maybe 20 seconds, and then shut down. I noticed there was a bit on condensation on the very bottom left hand corner of the screen, so I realized the water was really the damage.

I'm wondering if trying to charge it might have caused it to short circuit. I'm also wondering how I can take apart an Ipod Mini to dry it out.

Leave it to dry out completely - sometimes this will fix the problem. I know many people put electronic devices in the oven at a very low temperature, or under a hand dryer - I don't know if there are any plastic components that would melt with this idea, so I'd be very hestitant to recommend that.

Well, my Ipod is showing no signs of improvement. I hasn't worked since Saturday, when I found it in the puddle. I try to charge it and the Apple logo comes up, disappears, comes up, disappears repeatedly.

I guess the next step is to send it in and see if they will fix it or send me a new one?

Where do I send it to? I couldnt find it on the Apple Ipod Support website.
