I work for a German software company as a software developer (duh..) in my local city, only 10 miles from my house :)

Maybe you've heard of them (InVision Software).

Really sweet job actually, been doing it now for 10 months, and yes its busy and tough at times, and I'm still learning it, but I'm getting on the best.

Best thing is they are global, with sales offices all over Europe and now in the States.

With trips to Germany 3 times a year, it really is a sweet gig :D

Not a designer, I'm a coder. I'm working on .Net apps most recently, I have nearly 5 years ASP, JS, CSS, but my main area of concern is accessibilty, usability, training, assisting, technical specifications. It's good fun at nationwide, I love it.

I done that with the air training corps (ATC), except I did a loop a barrelroll and a few stall turns

I did the barrel roll as well but i was grinnig to much after the loop, the instructor did the other manovers (we were working on site and went out for a drink with the insructor in liverpool the night before and he offered to take us flying) so for a freebie it was a goood laugh. You didn't do the flying with the ATC at woodvale (near liverpool) as well did you?

OMG I did it at Woodvale! Its got a triangular patterned runway and its by the beach at Southport!

Yup thats the one, just off the dual carrige way into formby/southport, thats one of the sites we look after!!!

Rutgers (my university) Telefund.

Basically, it's a telemarketting job. You call alumni/parents/companies and ask for donations. Lol, oh well. I hate telemarketters.. how ironic.

It pays well and it's only 3.5 hours a day. $10 per hour plus bonuses. So, it's a perfect student job.

I work at a Fraternal Life Insurance and Annuities Company.

I am in their MIS Department, and I am an assistant to the President. I do things such as their brochures, agent websites, databases/programs they use daily. I also help others who are having problems.

Cool, I would love to have a flight in a Jaguar! When I went to RAF Marham I actually sat in a Tornado when it was in its hanger (it might not sound that good but when you are actually sitting in it when its in a hangar you can feel its power - its quite cramped as well :))

Yeah but when you walk out the in the hanger or on the flight line, Somthing like the tornado or jaguar, you just cant help but get a bit of the top gun feeling (the old music) :D :D and yes the jaguar is just as cramped as the tornado, at 6' 1" my knees were in danger :D

      All it does is use the CPU more efficiently during boot to speed up boot times. That's it. Yawn....

      It's not a one or the other kind of thing. Software should run efficiently, and the operating system should appropriately manage the CPU clocks. You could have the best most optimized software on earth, and it will still run faster if the CPU does a better job of boosting as needed. All this is doing is pre-boosting the CPU based on user actions, instead of waiting for the normal detection mechanism to kick in. If the OS knows it is about to need more CPU, why shouldn't it use that knowledge? It's the same idea of downshifting before you try to pass someone, instead of just burying your foot into the peddle and waiting for the transmission to figure out what you want to do.

      There really isn't anything magical about the low latency profile, other OS's do this as well. All they're doing is using your CPUs boost clock options in a more smarter way.
