How tall is the area below the iMac's screen?

the iMac is usually quite, but there are times (and it happens alot depending on what you do), where it can get loud, I mean LOUD, the fans in this thing, when they rev up all the way, sound like a JET, but that rarely happens, but it usually gets loud enough for you to notice it, but nothing to fuss about.

It's a great mac. In my experience it's very quiet, unless it's been on standby for a while, then it usually is a bit louder than normal for a short period of time while the fan kicks back in :happy:

Bawx I think they made the area so large to lift the screen up off the desk and into a better position for eye level. Some LCD's can be quite uncomfortable to use.

Now that you mention it, my LCD seems really low to the desk. Almost uncomfortable to the eye, compared to the iMac, seems like it's eye level. Holy crap, I kind of have to look down on my screen.

DAMN YOU APPLE! :angry:

I just put a thick ass notebook under my LCD to raise it up, I'm boycotting low screens.

Before turning this into a flaming thread, it would have been better if you simply didn't react to the comment. That way it just made him look like an ass.

In anycase.... anandtech did an excellent review between the Apple 20" Cinema display & the Dell 20" LCD (I'm too lazy to get the model number, something like 2005 heh). Anywho... the reviewer mentioned that currently only produces a 20" LCD capable of 1680x1050. So the screen in the imac, 20" ACD and Dell are all the same. The flourescent light in the back might be different (as is the case with the ACD & Dell) but it wont make a huge difference.

In summary... don't reply to those that are trolling & the imac contains a (now) $799 ACD... pretty nice because for $500 more ($1299) you have a computer that is faster and has more memory then the mini hooked up to a 20" ACD but that is whole nother story :yes:

Not quite accurate. The 17" iMac starts at $1299, the 20" starts at $1799, so the computer part of the 20" iMac works out to $1000, not $500.

      I have a older F4-210 NAS, it is pretty basic, the CPU is not the fastest by a long way and only 1GB of ram, but it works fine. I don't understand the need for A.I in a NAS. It seems like A.i is being shoved into everything, if we like it or not. i will stick to my old Terramsater NAS, thankfully the OS is not being updated. Also, got myself a small NAs built using a Raspberry Pi 5. iy usesd less energy, so stays on all the time. As for the unit above, if it is as reliable as my old Terramaster Nas, then it will be a good unit.

      Gemini in Google Sheets can now help you debug and fix formula errors by David Uzondu Google has started rolling out an update to Gemini in Google Sheets that allows the AI to diagnose and fix formula errors in one click, as long as your Workspace admin has Gemini for Workspace in Sheets turned on. According to Google, the new feature can handle pretty much everything from basic arithmetic to very complex calculations. This ability to debug formula errors comes about two years after Google introduced basic formula generation with Gemini in Sheets. To create a formula with Gemini in Sheets, you open a spreadsheet on your computer and click Ask Gemini in the top right corner. You can also enter an equals sign in any cell and use a shortcut like Ctrl + Alt + G on Windows and Chrome OS, or Command + Ctrl + G on macOS. Once you open the side panel, you write a natural language prompt using your sheet references. For example, you can ask Gemini to divide goals by games, or to find cell C1 in range D:G. If for some reason, the formula Gemini generated doesn't work, or maybe you wrote the formula yourself, you can troubleshoot the issue directly inside the grid. When a cell shows an error message, you hover over it and click "Fix". You can cancel the process at any time by clicking stop in the side panel.       I get what you are saying, If i go onto the Instagram site, it says log in with Facebook, but they are not allowed to link my account with Instagram until I do that. Maybe in the U.S, they can link them, but Privacy is not a thing in the U.S. the way things are going,l won;t be any better in the U.K.
