this is almost the same thing as the 5 series

All "M" models look like their original design (just a few visual modifications to look different), the "M" Power engine is what matters.

"A wolf in sheep's clothing" is the motto BMW uses.

Radish?

And one more thing, isn't this BMW M5, the same as the 2005 model? We've known about it for months. :p

As far as I know it is. So this is nothing new at all really.

Oh, and it's got 507hp, not 500hp :p I love the car though, although I prefer BMWs new styling to their old. It's not so bland as before, not that I didn't like older BMWs.

Check it out? haha, information has been flowing about it for a while now. And yes, 507HP, 0-60 in 4.5s, 7speed SMG III Automatic Shifting (rumored to have 6 Speed manual for US alone). Some deliveries of the M5 have taken place in Europe, and some showrooms around the world.

The shark fin "antenna" on the back, I heard, was part of the Navigation Package. And yes, the sig/avatar is of the M5.

I've been a bit hit and miss with the styling on the new BMW's to be honest.. some i've liked (M3 and sportier 3 series versions) but most i've hated (X5 makes me sick, X3 is vile, etc etc) - glad to say I think this looks absolutely brutal. I did love the styling of the older M5, but this seems to be a nice version to supercede it.. not least because the engine in it is just off the wall! :)

Of course a new M5 (and a tuned new shape M3 CSL) feature in my Gran Turismo 4 garage :D

Absolutely beautiful vehicle, inside and out. Too bad dealerships are charging upwards of a $20k premium on the sticker price. What I love even more is the engine in this beast. While Mercede's AMG has to use superchargers to get lots of power from their engines, BMW's M can get 100hp/L with normal aspiration.

If price was no option, I'd still choose the current M3 based on engine sound :p I will miss the M3 when BMW stops making them in the next year or two :/
