And at this price... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820141198 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/318984-my-first-mac/page/2/#findComment-585910291 Share on other sites
Southern Patriot
I only have one question. If you were going to spend that much, why not get a 17" iMac instead? It would have been about the same price, but much higher performance. I got a replacment plan for my old LCD so it only replaces the monitor with another one. The best one they had was the one I got. Had I got the oppertunity to get something else ofcourse iMac would have been the best choice. mercuryx013
Quick question for you guys... my mini came installed with Panther and a Tiger DVD. I have booted from the DVD, and I would like to do an Erase and Install. However, I don't have a disc labeled iLife 05. Where do I install iLife from? Thanks. ProfessorX
Congrats on your Mini. You wont regert buying it. Make sure that you upgrade the RAM to atleast 512MB. I did it and it runs much better than on 256MB. The DVD only gives you an upgrade option. It will take ~45 mins to get Tiger installed. mercuryx013
Actually, the DVD let me do a clean install. I then installed iLife from the original Panther Setup DVD. The RAM is already on order. I'm upgrading to 256 for sure. The model I used in the store was the same as this with 512 and it was indeed much smooth.
