New Gameboy Micro is smallest handheld yet

Recommended Posts

The sporty, silver metal Game Boy Micro measures a mere 4 inches wide, 2 inches tall and 0.7 inches deep, allowing it to sit comfortably alongside today?s hippest technological gadgets. It weighs an astonishing 2.8 ounces, or about the weight of 80 paper clips. Yet Game Boy Micro has the same processing power and plays the same games as Game Boy Advance SP models, complete with standard face controls and gleaming shoulder and Start/Select buttons that literally shine.

Well, no-one is forcing you to buy it. I mean I have young relatives who still play GBA and their GBA's and GBA SP's are ruined. If this is cheap enough it's something you could give to these. I wouldn't dream of giving my cousin my PSP but I'd happily throw them this.

Shame it's ran it's course really, anyone who wanted a GBA for any of the games that are out on it, has one now. I dunno who's gonna pick these up.

What the hell are they thinking? They are just milking the cash cow at this point.

They thinking that they don't want to have any loose ends open vs PSP. They now have a handheld for each type of gamer.

The old schooler/ultra mobile guy (micro gameboy)

Hardcore player (SP)

Casual gamer/non-gamers/enthusiasts (DS)

i love gameboy advance, but they just need to stick with one design. Im gunna feel obligated to buy one though, and it better only be like $70 tops. How long has GBA been around for now? 5 years or something? I think they kinda realised that the DS sucks and there isn't much you can do with 2 screens. 1 touchscreen would have been fine for the games ive played (except FPS like metroid), i don't even toch my DS anymore, it just collects dust. my psp and lumines get all the action.

Just because DS doesnt appeal to you doesnt mean it sucks. So you only play lumines on PSP, should I then judge PSP sucks cause only 1 good game?

Please, I bet you will retract that that statement when DS wifi enabled game titles come out this year.

I can't help but feel dorky when i play it too. Its all big and bulky. I wouldn't even dream of playing it in public. Im looking forward to mario kart, but then again, why would i need 2 screens for that. I just see useless stuff on the bottom screen most of the time.

there is a reason why nintendo, sony and microsoft are in the games market and thats because people want variety and choice, just because something suits one person doesnt mean its going to suit another. hey each to there own, i mean i dont even own any games console. i used to be a huge nintendo fan but i found a new love which is my pc.
