I'm really not sure, The only time I have seen someone with that problem (part of the theme not loading) is when it was run across a network / from a .zip/.rar archive which you are not doing. baffling, can you tell us what version of Windows you are using and how you ran Nova and any other details you wish to add. thanks.

I have two requests. Is it possible for this to become compatible with AIM screen names?? And another, would it also be possible to have an option to have the contact list like Miranda's Nicer Contact List??

These features would be great. I already requested them in in the nova forums, but it will probably get more attention here.

Can you post a screen shot of how your contact list is set up on Miranda ty, and we don't have any plans to add other protocol support other then Future MSN Protocols. I will discuss this with Zogo but don't hold your breath I don't think we really want to go multi-protocol like Adium / Gaim / Miranda / Trillion.

there's my contact list. The background really is transparent, but you can't tell in my picuture. I'm not asking to have every messenging service there is in Nova, but AIM and MSN are both the most popluar messenging services. and, maybe if you got permission from the creator(s) of Miranda, you could use the plugin from Miranda for AIM in Nova Messenger. That might make things easier programming wise. The only reason(s) i want to use nova is mainly the file sharing system and all other cool features you have/will add. Nova shows great potential, keep it up :)

Definantly no need to apoligize, The bug is still there in the service pack 1, it just sweeps it under the covers... you have saved me alot of time in solving this bug by posting your screenshot so thanks :).

no probs m8 glad to help, one other thing now though iz that when I close nova it seems to hang and makes my system a bit unstable (like its eating at my memory) iv had no error messages or anything else come up so its a bit hard to say anymore to help..........

Yeah there's a memory bug with conversations at the moment that needs to be fixed up.... as for aol being in nova, look foward to Nova 2 as that was one of the features floating in my head..... AIM & Jabber support so you can tunnel virtually any protocol through jabber.

Just thought I would give a heads up on the current state of Nova, it is still going we are still releasing internal builds and at the moment we are working on a new default unified theme that will be the main front for nova we are basically redesigning the main windows shapes button placement everything.

Expect smooth rounded edges, drop shadows, transparency, animated buttons and other goodies, from what we are doing now I think many of you will be pretty pleased with the direction we are taking the project :)

You can check the new offical website here for daily updates on the project there will be a public release in the coming days :)

2 people PMed me of late wondering what the new look of Nova Messenger is (since I left quite a tasty teaser) so I have decided to post one of the concepts (Nova wont look exactly like this since this is concept number 44 and the final look has yet to be decided) but it will look somewhat like this, enjoy. BTW this is colourless to save time in createing so many concepts.

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
