Just thought I would give a look on how the latest design phase is going:

<- With the Main menu hidden

<- Main menu shown

Now the bottom section will work the same pressing the arrow will hide it, there is lots of information not present in the screen shot like the actual display picture the over mouse options menu and other things of course there is no Toast msg / Contact window / login window / options window present in the screen shots yet, I want to get the most difficult bit done first (contact list) once the design has been approved and implemented the same look and function will be present in other aspects of the messenger.

Ok. Well I got some feedback from some people and they wanted to see it smaller with display picture and other things inside the messenger and make it look more "this is what it will look like" not a "this is a design mockup"

So here you go.
